When I was 5 years old my parents took me out to eat at a local restaurant (The Robin Inn) and I remember ordering a large Greek Salad. Now being only 5 the waitress said maybe I should get the small. I told the waitress that I wanted the large and so we made a bet. She said that if I was to eat it all that she would give me $5. Well, I got my $5 and have been eating salads ever since. Here is a Simple Salad that I love to prepare. If you would like to switch out certain items that is always okay. Try adding more items if you would like. It is important that we eat our veggies!
The general rule is 10/10/10 for men.
10 cups of veggies
10 glasses of water
Remember 8/8/8 keeps a lady looking great.
8 cups of veggies
8 glasses of water
- Romaine Lettuce (or a lettuce of your choice)
- 1 Tomato
- 1 Red Onion
- 1 Stalk Celery
- 1 Bell Pepper
- 1 Avocado
- Your Favorite Seeds or Nuts
- Olive Oil
- 1 Lemon
- Place clean and diced veggies along with your favorite nuts or seeds into a large bowl
- For the dressing add your olive oil and the juice of 1 lemon.
